Agile Web Solutions, Ltd. (Agile) officially announced the start of its business operations today. “We are very excited about the start of this new venture,” stated Philip McConnell, Head of Software Development at Agile Web Solutions, Ltd. “Agile is able to build on more than ten years of experience it has gained as part of the IT division of The Language Technology Centre Ltd. (LTC).”

The new company offers a host of new benefits to its clients.  Customers will continue to have access to LTC’s previous line of software products, but they will also benefit from a broader range of IT services. “For years, we have focused on R&D and product development. Now, we have added another area of expertise by offering professional IT services, ranging from building custom software and adaptor development to consultancy and testing ”, Philip explains. In addition, Agile has a range of products in the pipeline for launch in 2009---these new products will create an outstanding value proposition for customers in a variety of industries.

“Partnerships are a main cornerstone of our business strategy.” Philip elaborates further, “We have opened up the ‘Agile Marketplace,’ where our users can sell the adapters and add-ons they create with our open APIs. We have also introduced a technology partnership program to promote the connectivity of the various systems our users deploy. In addition, we are starting a channel partnership program, offering LSPs the opportunity to localize our products and introduce, resell, and train third parties in them.”

Thanks to an existing customer base and market-ready products, Agile is able to operate independently from day one. The company will continue to support and develop software products formerly developed by LTC. Agile will take over and maintain LTC’s SaaS offering, with plans to significant expand this offering.
